  •   Ishikawa Distillery is well-known for their hand-crafted manufacturing process

  • "Kamejikomi" is their core, unique brand and has made its way to stores worldwide

  • Ishikawa Distillery use clay jars instead of metallic ones that generate unique flavors (vs whisky barrel)

  • A further classification of Awamori is kusu (aged liquior) which means the Awamori is aged a minimum of 3 years.  Kamejikomi is 5 years old​​

  • Kumesen is also a mid-sized distiller that actively produces numerous, remarkable brands

  • Their core brand,"Kumesen Black", has been well-known and popular for more than 20 years

  • In the process of selecting the right brands for the U.S. market, approximately 300 kinds were used (there are 700 different brands in Okinawa!) for tasting, but this brand was finally selected by our team.

  • In general, favorable awamoris have high alcohol percentage content, 35% or above

  • With relatively high alcohol, a unique aroma and character can fully be tasted

  • Contains 43% of alcohol, which is about the same level of popular whiskies

  • With most Awamori has 24% or below ABV in the U.S., the tradition of a typical Awamori of Okinawa can only be tasted through this brand

  • Besides Japanese whiskies, which have been very popular recently, Nanpu is a great, fresh brand to introduce yourself to Awamori
